Ratch Pathana Energy Empowers Young Village Health Volunteers for the 16th Consecutive Year, Promoting Children's Rights and Biodiversity Conservation

On October 23, 2026, Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited (RPE) organized the 2026 Young Village Health Volunteer Development Program (Aor Sor Mor Noi) for the 16th consecutive year at the Eastern Regional Resource Conservation and Development Center in Chonburi Province. Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, Director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, delivered the welcoming remarks.
The program forms part of RPE's ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable community development. It aims to enhance young people's knowledge, skills, and awareness of volunteerism, community health and well-being, respect for human rights, and natural resource conservation through participatory learning and stakeholder engagement.
The event brought together more than 60 participants from four local communities: Ban Chak Krapok, Ban Nong Kham, Ban Rai Nueng, and Ban Setthi Nai Fan. Participants included young village health volunteers, village health volunteer leaders, and community representatives, reflecting continued collaboration between the company and local communities to support youth empowerment and sustainable improvements in quality of life.
The program featured educational sessions on "Volunteerism and Sustainable Community Development" and "Children's Rights and Human Rights," led by Mr. Thanakorn Phakdeenarasirikul, Head of Sustainability Development Section at Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited. Through educational materials, case studies, and interactive discussions, the sessions aimed to raise awareness of children's rights, equality, respect for individual differences, and the role of young people in contributing to community development.
In addition, participants took part in field trips and experiential learning activities focusing on biodiversity conservation. These activities included exploring insect diversity and the important roles insects play in ecosystems, learning about various animal species, their behaviors and habitats, and understanding the relationships between living organisms and their environments. Participants also visited Khao Kheow Open Zoo, where they had the opportunity to observe various animal species and gain firsthand experience in wildlife and nature education.
These activities aimed to deepen participants' understanding of the value of living organisms, wildlife conservation, natural habitat protection, and the sustainable use of natural resources. By connecting biodiversity in nature with respect for human differences and individual rights, the program sought to foster an appreciation of diversity and encourage harmonious coexistence within both society and the natural environment.
RPE also conducted pre- and post-activity assessments under the theme "Biodiversity & Human Rights" to evaluate participants' knowledge and understanding. The assessments covered biodiversity awareness, respect for human rights and individual differences, and the application of knowledge in everyday life. Preliminary information from a sample assessment indicated a positive trend in self-reported knowledge and understanding following the activities, along with favorable feedback on the participatory learning experience. The company will use the collected assessment results to monitor learning outcomes and continuously improve future activities in response to the needs of young people and local communities.
RPE remains committed to promoting equal access to education and inclusive youth development opportunities, recognizing that quality learning experiences not only enhance knowledge and practical skills but also foster social responsibility, respect for the rights of others, and environmental awareness. These values can empower young people to apply what they have learned and make positive contributions to their families and communities over the long term.
The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Through this initiative, Ratch Pathana Energy reaffirms its commitment to creating shared value with local communities, promoting respect for human rights, and supporting sustainable social and environmental development.
